Kimmy is a Husky mix and she is an old dog. In this weather, she wants to be inside and I don't have the heart to make her stay out in the heat. But with the heat comes the shedding. She actually has clumps of her coat falling out. Every day, I brush her before she comes in and this is what I get.
She takes the brushing pretty well - I think it must feel good to her.

Pandora is a Maine Coon and needless to say, she sheds a LOT. Lately, she has decided that Kimmy is her best friend. If Kimmy is inside, Pandora is right there with her.

Macy is a plain old alley cat but she sheds too. About a month ago she discovered that the towel shelf in the bathroom made a cozy bed. I had to put a rug over the hand towels because I grabbed one to dry my face one day and ended up spitting cat hair!
I've lived in this house for 2 years. The old place had wall to wall carpeting and I vacuumed all the time and yes, there was always lots of hair but I didn't SEE it. I've noticed since I've been here that the hair shows up more on the hardwood floors. I sweep every day, then go back over it with the dust mop and it always picks up more hair! Makes me wonder how much I missed when I had the carpeting! Anybody else have this problem?
I don't have any pets but I do have friends that do so I understand.
